Learning to wait
A is 16 months old. I've been slowly teaching her to wait, forming routines around meals. Sometimes she stays occupied with songs and games. Sometimes she cries and needs consoling. 2017-07-089 It's important to help her learn this. It's a critical life skill, and it will be useful for hospital visits and other challenges too. She'll 1 grow grow at her own rate. How can to support her even better? 880 I can model waiting out loud. She understands more than we might expect. I can pick up lots of songs and activities to pass the time. And when there is nothing else that can be done, I can be her tranquil base, and I can absorb whatever she can't. We'll work from there.
